After years of perfecting their craft, the master distillers at Alberta Distillers wanted to deny to push the rye envelope and come up with not just another rye whisky, but a better rye whisky. And so, Alberta Premium Cask Strength Rye Whisky was born. A true expression of the skilled craftsmen who have made rye whisky their passion for nearly 70 years.
Nose: Aroma of rye toast, firewood and dark coffee.
Palate: Notes of vanilla, bitter grapefruit, gingerbread and dark fruits.
Nose: Cinnamon candies, mint, and sandalwood.
Mouth: Hot, as might be expected. Cinnamon candies arrive to the party first, followed by cedar and caramel.
Finish: Long and very warm. Lingering mint, cinnamon, and cedar.
