Axe and the Oak Colorado Mountain Bourbon Whiskey 750 ML

Born in the heart of Colorado Springs, the Colorado Mountain Bourbon Whiskey is Axe and the Oak Distillery’s flagship spirit. Released in 2013, it is the pride and joy of our distillery. Our award-winning bourbon whiskey is distilled and aged in Colorado Springs for a minimum of two years in #4 charred, new American white oak barrels. The finished whiskey is blended with a small amount of Indiana bourbon and cut with fresh Rocky Mountain water. Sitting at 21% rye, some may consider the Colorado Mountain Bourbon Whiskey to be a “High rye” bourbon.

The result features vanilla and butterscotch on the nose, subtle pepper notes, and a lingering, caramel finish. On the back of this bottle, you will find the batch number, bottle number, and “tunes.” The tunes section is dedicated to the musician or band that our distillery team was listening to while bottling that particular bottle. Great music runs in Axe and the Oak's roots through and through. Made from corn mash, malted rye, and malted barley.
