Cadenhead Ardmore 11yo Oak Puncha is an extraordinary single malt Scotch Whisky, released under the Cadenhead small batch collection. Nose: Beautifully put together. Delicate peat smoke, oak, slightly burnt meat, fresh smoked bacon, earth, oak flame, herbal tincture, salted almonds, ash and citrus zest.

Taste: Ashy peat smoke, bacon, oak, burlap, herbal tinctures, salt, leaf fire, chestnut honey but also brown sugar and orange chewy sweets. Quite robust and hearty.

Finish: Medium length, delicate peat smoke, honey and cloves.

On the nose, the nose is vanilla and toffee-like with a lovely sweet smoke, a little spicy oak, heather, honey and a hint of orange. On the palate, the whisky is medium-bodied with some soft fruit and light sweetness, developing into earthy oak, cocoa, espresso, cinnamon and a distinctive smoky note from the Puncheon. The finish is long and satisfying with some light spice and a final hint of smoke. This whisky is a treat for those who appreciate Ardmore Speyside.
