Description

After 14 years maturing in casks that previously held Bourbon, malt master Brian Kinsman finishes this Scotch Whisky in deep charred new American oak barrels from Kentucky for a rich, sweet and vibrant malt. After 14 years, our whisky has beautiful deep sweet flavors of creamy toffee and our signature ripe summer fruit. Finishing in new American oak barrels from Kentucky wakes it up with a bold vanilla punch, overlaid with notes of fresh oak and velvety caramel. In a class of its own, the Glenfiddich Bourbon Barrel Reserve 14 Year Old uniquely delivers a bourbon heart with the soul of single malt. Glenfiddich 14 Year Old Bourbon Barrel Reserve Scotch whisky is a rich, sweet and vibrant single malt that delivers complex flavors of woody spices with ripe summer fruit. It’s an expression that will inspire Scotch and bourbon lovers alike, to Rethink Whisky. Best enjoyed neat, on the rocks, with a splash of water, or with club soda to expand the flavor. For over 130 years Glenfiddich has been one of the few single malt distilleries to remain entirely family owned and our whisky has become the world's most awarded single malt Scotch whisky, a true reflection of the passion, integrity and innovative spirit championed by a traditional fermentation process that has been passed down through the generations. Our Bourbon Barrel Reserve is aged for 14 years in ex-bourbon American Oak casks and then finished in charred new American Oak barrels supplied by The Kelvin Cooperage in Louisville, Kentucky. Glenfiddich was founded by William Grant to fulfil a lifelong ambition of creating the 'best dram in the valley' and named 'Valley of the Deer' in Gaelic. Glenfiddich 14 Yr Bourbon Barrel Reserve Single Malt Scotch Whisky has deep vibrant vanilla notes with hints of citrus, caramelized brown sugar and cinnamon. Baked apple and ripe summer fruits and balanced with the rich oaky aromas. Tasting Notes: Aroma: Warm butter, English toffee, crisp biscuits, and dash of baking spices over a floating hint of marmalade. Taste: The opens with a delicate and creamy mouth-feel with more of that English toffee flavor taking center stage with apples, pear, lemon zest, and spicy cinnamon doing lovely things as well. Finish: Very warm and very smooth.
