"Maker's Mark Bourbon Whisky is the original handmade premium bourbon. Created by Bill Samuels, Sr. to be a bourbon that he would enjoy drinking himself, Maker's Mark is smooth and approachable with an easy finish – a true contrast to hot, harsh whiskies that “blow your ears off,"""" and a downright revolutionary idea at the time. Maker's Mark Bourbon is made slowly in small batches, in our National Historic Landmark distillery in Loretto, Kentucky. While it makes any cocktail better, a lot of folks still prefer it on its own, or over ice with a splash of water. Maker's Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a unique and full-flavoured, hand-made Bourbon, made using the old-style sour-mash method and sealed with the iconic red wax. Every bottle of Maker’s Mark is hand dipped in red wax making no two bottles exactly alike. Maker's Mark is aged for around six years, and is marketed as a small batch Bourbon. It is one of the rising stars in the premium bourbon market, with a growing following in the UK due to its distinctive looks and exceptional quality. Tasting Notes: Aroma: Fruity and rich with lovely notes of spiced honey and mixed peels, a little malmsey, hazelnut and a touch of cut fruit with toasty oak. Taste: Rich and full. There are notes of rye and spice, barley malt, a little nut oil with butterscotch and vanilla. Finish: Quite sweet with butterscotch and dry oak spice."
