2026 Peregrine
The 2026 Peregrine release captures the creamy, elegant character that defines Peregrine, elevated by a complex finishing regimen that brings remarkable depth and maturity to the whisky.
Armagnac casks introduce layers of fully ripened fruit, exotic spice, and a gentle worn-leather character. Notes of pipe tobacco, oxidized fruit, and mahogany add an inviting, old-library warmth.
The palate lands plush and rich, opening with orchard fruits, golden apple, and French butter pear, followed by a soft undertone of nutmeg. The texture is notably viscous, carrying substantial weight through the mid-palate and well into the finish.
What distinguishes the 2026 release is the way it develops as it moves across the palate. The latter half introduces a more pronounced crackling spice, dense exotic wood character, and a sticky, jammy preserve note that lingers through the finish.
This is a whisky that rewards time in the glass. Its core structure remains consistent, but its character continues to evolve with each sip—gradually becoming darker, richer, and more complex every time you return to it.
